READ MOREVulcanization is a key link in the production of rubber products, which directly affects the physical properties of the product, such as elasticity, wear resistance, hardness, etc. In view of the characteristics of NBR rubber, our company uses the industry's top intelligent vulcanization workshop, equipped with fully automatic vulcanizers. These vulcanizers not only have a high degree of automation control capabilities, but also can accurately adjust the temperature, pressure and vulcanization time according to the preset program, thereby realizing the fine management of the vulcanization process.
Intelligent vulcanizer: Through PLC (programmable logic controller) control, precise control of temperature, pressure and time during the vulcanization process is achieved. The vulcanization temperature is usually between 140°C and 180°C, and the specific temperature depends on the NBR formula and the required product performance to ensure that the cross-linking reaction is sufficient and uniform, while avoiding overheating and material degradation.
Pressure control: The pressure applied during the vulcanization process is crucial to the density and dimensional stability of the product. Our vulcanizer uses a hydraulic or pneumatic system, which can accurately adjust the vulcanization pressure according to the material properties and mold design, usually in the range of 1.5MPa to 3.0MPa, to ensure the tightness of the internal structure of the O-ring and the smoothness of the appearance.
Vulcanization time: The length of the vulcanization time directly affects the crosslinking degree and physical properties of the product. Through multiple tests and optimizations, we have set the optimal vulcanization time window for NBR O-rings, which usually ranges from a few minutes to a few hours, to ensure that the product achieves an ideal balance between elasticity and wear resistance.
In addition to the selection of vulcanization equipment, the optimization of process parameters is also crucial. Relying on the industry-university-research cooperation with many top domestic universities and scientific research institutions, our company has conducted in-depth research on the vulcanization mechanism of NBR rubber, and has achieved significant improvement in product performance by continuously adjusting the formula and process parameters.
Formula adjustment: In the NBR base material, the appropriate addition of crosslinking agents, accelerators, fillers, anti-aging agents and other additives can significantly affect the vulcanization process and the performance of the final product. Through repeated tests, we screened out the best ratio, which not only enhanced the wear resistance of the O-ring, but also ensured its good elastic recovery ability.
Vulcanization curve monitoring: Using advanced vulcanization curve analysis technology, real-time monitoring of temperature changes and torque changes during the vulcanization process ensures that the vulcanization reaction is carried out under the best conditions. This technology not only improves production efficiency, but also ensures the stability and consistency of product quality.
Post-processing process: After vulcanization, appropriate post-processing, such as cooling, deburring, surface treatment, etc., is equally important for improving the overall performance of the product and extending its service life. Our company uses advanced cooling systems and fine grinding processes to ensure that the surface of the O-ring is smooth and flawless, further reducing the risk of wear.
